Overview
A queen-size upholstered platform bed frame from Allewie with a vertical channel tufted velvet wingback headboard, rated to 800 pounds, and built to skip the box spring.
A couple of buyers separately flagged vague delivery scheduling and one noted the shipping box arrived with some dings, though the frame itself held up.
- Vertical channel tufted velvet wingback headboard
- 800 pound weight capacity
- No box spring needed (8-12 inch mattress)
- 8 inch under-bed storage clearance
Who it's for
Fits a queen mattress 8 to 12 inches thick for someone who wants an upholstered headboard look without buying a separate box spring. Not the pick for anyone needing a taller frame, a mattress outside that thickness range, or a firm delivery date.
Pros and cons
- A couple of buyers found delivery scheduling unclear
- One shipping box arrived with dings
- Mattress thickness is capped at 8-12 inches on the slats
Performance notes
A metal frame with center support legs carries the 800 pound weight rating, while velcro-attached wooden slats stand in for a box spring under mattresses 8 to 12 inches thick. Foot pads and sound-absorbing foam are built in to keep the frame from creaking under movement.
