Overview
Not a long-oval helmet, the Arai Quantum-X uses a round oval liner with thicker front and rear pads for heads that run slightly wider. The VAS shield system smooths the shell around the temples, and adjustable ducts move air through.
Round oval fit, Snell and DOT approval and an included Pinlock make it a complete street helmet. Sizes and shell weight are not in the listing.
Who it's for
Riders whose heads feel pinched at the sides in other helmets will find the shape more natural. Long-oval heads should try a different interior shape.
Pros and cons
- Snell and DOT rated
- Round oval fit
- Pinlock insert included
- Adjustable intake and exhaust
- Sizes not listed
- Weight not given
- Single color option
Performance notes
A smooth shell with a lowered shield pivot helps the helmet glance off on impact. The three-position intake and rear exhaust pull air through the liner, and the chin cover cuts wind noise from below.
