Overview
Riding with the peak and shield, the peak alone, or the shield alone turns this Arai adventure helmet into three different helmets. A fiber belt reinforces the forehead, and mouth and forehead vents adjust airflow to cut fogging.
Three setups and deep speaker pockets suit long dual-sport trips. The anti-fog insert is sold separately, and the listing gives no size range or weight.
Who it's for
Long-distance dual-sport riders will use every configuration. Track or sport riders should choose a street helmet.
Pros and cons
- Snell and DOT rated
- Tool-free shield swaps
- Adjustable mouth vent
- Deep speaker pockets
- Pinlock not included
- Sizes not listed
- Peak adds wind load at speed
Performance notes
The peak is shaped to cut buffeting and block sun, while mouth and forehead vents direct air either to the face or the shield. A lowered shield pivot leaves the shell smooth so it glances off on impact.
