Overview
An extra low dispersion glass element cuts color fringing, so targets stay sharp at high zoom in this Monstrum scope. A first focal plane Christmas Tree reticle gives holdover and ranging marks that stay true at every magnification.
First focal plane holdovers work at any zoom, which matters for long-range shots. The zero stop makes returning to zero fast. Missing specs like eye relief and elevation travel make it harder to plan a long-range build.
Who it's for
Target shooters and long-range hunters who use reticle holds at any power will benefit from the FFP design. Close-range hunters will find the magnification and size more than they need.
Pros and cons
- First focal plane holdovers
- ED glass for sharper images
- Zero stop elevation turret
- Offset mount included
- Eye relief not listed
- Turret travel not stated
- Heavy for a light rifle
Performance notes
In first focal plane, the reticle grows and shrinks with magnification so hold marks stay accurate. ED glass reduces chromatic aberration, which shows up as color fringes at high power. Zero stop gives a hard return point after dialing elevation.
