Overview
A pair of lenses splits the work in this SJCAM camera, with a daytime lens for color and a wide aperture lens for night footage. A power handle with its own battery stretches recording time, and gyro stabilization smooths bumps.
Long battery life plus a true low light lens suit motorcyclists and vloggers who film from dusk into night. Mounts and accessories are not detailed, so helmet use may need extra parts.
Who it's for
Long distance riders, multi day hikers and creators shooting vertical clips get extended runtime and night capability. Divers going deep need a housing, as the bare body is rated only for shallow water.
Pros and cons
- Separate low light lens
- Very long runtime with handle
- Native vertical recording
- Voice control and pre-record
- Mounts not listed in the box
- Handle adds bulk on helmets
- Shallow water rating without a case
Performance notes
A larger sensor and a wide aperture gather more light, which is why the night lens holds noise lower after dark. Electronic stabilization crops slightly into the frame to cancel shake, so the widest view shrinks with it on.
