Overview
An air resistance rowing machine with a 32-blade fan offering 10 resistance levels, a backlit performance monitor with 20-plus training modes, and a two-piece frame built for vertical storage. Sold under Merach with the included unit branded NovaRow R50 Pro.
Buyers repeatedly compare this machine to the Concept2, the rower most home users benchmark against, and generally find the resistance feel close even though the fan housing itself feels less premium. The Pro version's brighter backlit display was called out specifically as the upgrade worth paying for over the standard model.
- 32-blade fan, 10 resistance levels
- Backlit monitor with 20-plus training modes
- Bluetooth sync to Merach app and Google Health
- Two-piece frame folds for vertical storage
Who it's for
Fits anyone who wants a Concept2-style chain-pull rower at home without the cost or scarcity of a used Concept2. Less suited to rowers who need the exact heel cup fit and monitor feel of the actual Concept2.
Pros and cons
- Resistance feel compares well to a Concept2
- Chain-pull design rather than strap or cord
- Quick assembly, as fast as 10 minutes
- Bright Pro display with reliable Bluetooth sync
- Fan enclosure feels less premium than Concept2
- Heel cups sit deeper, less comfortable for some
Performance notes
The Pro model's bright, backlit monitor addresses a common complaint about the standard display's brightness, and Bluetooth syncing connected reliably to phones and the Merach app, which in turn syncs with Google Health.
