A capable wallpaper stripper and multi-surface steamer at a low price, though a cluster of handle-related safety complaints means it is worth watching closely during the first uses.

Overview
The Wagner 915e is a multipurpose steam cleaner built for wallpaper stripping and chemical-free surface cleaning, with an 18-piece accessory kit, an 8 foot hose, and a 40 ounce tank good for 40 minutes of steam at 212F.
Wagner markets this primarily as a wallpaper stripper that doubles as a general steam cleaner for countertops, grout, appliances and outdoor items like grills and car interiors. One buyer flagged that the listing overstates the wallpaper attachments, since only one large plate ships rather than the large and small pair Amazon's copy describes, and got a partial refund over it.
- 18-piece accessory kit
- 8 ft steam hose for wallpaper jobs
- 40 oz tank, 40 min continuous steam
- Heats to 212F in under 9 minutes
Who it's for
Fits anyone stripping wallpaper by hand or looking for one chemical-free steamer for kitchen, bathroom and outdoor surfaces. Less suited to buyers who need a tool they can hand off to a household member unsupervised, given the handle heat complaints below.
Pros and cons
- Strips wallpaper without chemicals, one buyer said faster than hiring a contractor
- 18 accessories cover countertops, grout, appliances and car interiors
- Reaches 212F in under 9 minutes with a 40 minute run time
- Listing overstates the wallpaper kit, only one large plate ships instead of large and small
- Multiple reports of the handle overheating or steam escaping under normal use
Performance notes
The tank holds up to 40 ounces of water, reaches 212F in under nine minutes, and is rated for 40 minutes of continuous steam on a full fill. The 8 foot hose is sized for reaching up tall walls during wallpaper jobs, and the description recommends distilled water to reduce mineral buildup inside the unit.
