Overview
Not a single compact sub, this SVS listing is a pair of sealed R|Evolution subwoofers, each with a long-throw driver and a powerful Class D amplifier, tuned for accurate, low-distortion bass.
Two sealed subs smooth bass across seats and add clean, deep output that a single unit cannot match. The size, weight and need for room setup make them a dedicated theater purchase.
Who it's for
Made for dedicated theaters and large living rooms with an AV receiver that has dual sub outputs. People wanting a simple TV bass boost should choose a soundbar with a sub.
Pros and cons
- Two subs for smoother room bass
- Sealed design for tight response
- High continuous power
- App control and auto setup
- Large and heavy
- Needs dual sub outputs to work well
- Black Ash finish only
Performance notes
A sealed cabinet trades a little maximum output for tighter, faster bass with less overhang. Two subs placed apart even out room peaks and nulls, which is why pairs sound smoother across seats.
