Overview
Not meant for high resolution action cameras or fast burst shooting, this PNY Elite set is five microSDHC cards tuned for dash cams and other monitoring devices that record Full HD on a loop. An SD adapter lets a computer or camera read them.
Having spares lets one card stay in each car or camera with a backup ready. The entry video speed class limits it to Full HD footage, and the listing does not state a write figure.
Who it's for
Families with more than one car, or a small business with a few monitoring cameras, can fit every device from one set. Higher resolution video gear needs a faster video class card.
Pros and cons
- Five cards in one set
- Rated for continuous Full HD capture
- Wide list of durability protections
- Lifetime limited warranty
- Write speed not listed
- Entry video speed class
- Small capacity for long loop recording
Performance notes
A dash cam writes video nonstop, so the V class and U class floors on sustained write speed matter more than the headline read figure. Usable capacity is a little below the label because some space goes to formatting.
