Overview
Auertech's AU-60TCS is a 2.6 cu ft portable electric clothes dryer with a 1400W heating system, stainless steel tub and knob controls, built for apartments, dorms and RVs without full-size dryer hookups.
The tradeoff is heat: it tops out around 140 degrees Fahrenheit, so cycles typically run an hour to 90 minutes for a small to medium load.
- 1400W heating system with stainless steel tub
- Four drying modes from cooling to bulky clothing
- 110-degree door opening for easy loading
- Auto-stop safety if the door opens mid-cycle
Who it's for
Best suited to renters, dorm residents and RV or camper owners who need a small dryer that does not require special wiring. Not a fit for anyone drying large family loads or wanting fast, full-size dryer cycle times.
Pros and cons
- Quiet operation reported across nearly every review
- Compact and light enough to move easily
- Simple knob control with clear preset modes
- Runs on a standard 120V household outlet
- Dry time runs long, up to 1.5 hours
- Maximum heat tops out around 140 degrees
- Noisy for the first 10 to 15 minutes heating
Performance notes
The drum moves back and forth to spread heat evenly and offers four preset modes: cooling, anti-wrinkle, standard clothing and bulky clothing, plus a refresh cycle.
