Overview
At 17.8 lbs and 2.4 cu ft, the Nictemaw NIC-55841-G portable washer packs 10 wash programs, 8 water levels, and an LED display into a unit sized for apartments, RVs, and dorms. It spins clothes to remove water rather than actually drying them, despite dryer wording in its listing name.
The drain hose connectors are also non-standard and may need adapting to fit a typical garden hose or sink setup.
- 17.8 lb capacity, 2.4 cu ft drum
- 10 wash programs, 8 water levels
- Built-in drain pump with extended hose
- 24-hour delay start and child lock
Who it's for
Renters or RV owners who need a compact washer for small loads and can hang-dry or use a separate dryer afterward. Not a fit for anyone expecting one machine to fully dry laundry.
Pros and cons
- Simple one-touch operation with an LED display
- Compact and light enough to move around an apartment
- Does not actually dry clothes despite combo branding, only spins out water
- Drain hose connectors are non-standard for US garden hose or pipe fittings
- Motor struggles with larger or heavier loads
- Reviewer flagged many sensors as potential failure points over time
Performance notes
The unit runs on timed and water-level controls with a built-in drain pump, and one reviewer specifically warned it needs a weight on the drain hose so it does not pop out of the sink while draining. Load capacity is rated at 17.8 lbs, but at least one reviewer described the motor as weak with heavier loads.
