Bigme B6 E-Ink eReader 6 Inch

Overview

Reading ebooks, PDFs and Android apps on a black and white E Ink screen is what this pocket reader does, with a touchscreen and an adjustable front light. Wi-Fi brings in app store downloads and translation features, and Bluetooth is built in.

Open Android access lets readers install their own reading apps instead of being tied to one store. The black and white panel suits text, though color content shows only in grayscale, and the listing gives no battery capacity.

Who it's for

Commuters who read novels and articles across several apps get a light device that slips into a pocket. People who mostly read color magazines or need a larger page for PDFs should look at a bigger or color screen.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

App responsiveness rests on the octa core chip and the RAM. E Ink redraws the page rather than lighting pixels, which suits static text more than scrolling apps. Readability in dim rooms depends on the adjustable front light.
