Pentax K-7 Digital SLR Camera Body
A rugged, weather sealed DSLR body for outdoor photographers who want Pentax lens compatibility and in-body stabilization. It ships without a lens, and video tops out at the lower HD resolution.
A weather sealed DSLR kit with a sealed kit lens and in-body stabilization for outdoor photographers. Video stops at Full HD, so it is a stills-first camera.
Canon EOS Rebel T7 Kit with 18-55mm and 55-250mm STM Lenses
Limited evidence
A straightforward first DSLR kit that covers wide angle to telephoto out of the box. Burst speed and video are basic, so fast action and modern video work will feel limited.
A straightforward DSLR kit for someone moving up from a phone who wants an optical viewfinder and full manual control. Video stops at full HD, and the autofocus system is basic.
A dated but capable stabilized body for someone who already owns compatible lenses. It is body only, older technology and modest resolution by current standards.
A versatile full-frame DSLR for photographers who want an optical viewfinder plus capable ultra HD video and Live View autofocus. No lens is included, so one must be added.
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II Lens
Limited evidence
