Overview
A small tank owner with a tight shelf or desk gets an internal filter from Tetra that clips inside the glass and hides behind decor. Medium Bio-Bag cartridges with floss and carbon do the filtering.
Putting the filter inside the tank lets the aquarium sit close to the wall and hides the hardware. It uses tank space that fish would otherwise have, and is limited to small volumes.
Who it's for
Owners of betta tanks, nano tanks and desktop aquariums will use the compact in-tank design. Larger tanks need a hang-on or canister filter.
Pros and cons
- Fits inside the tank
- Tank can sit near the wall
- Adjustable clip for water level
- Hidden by decor
- Takes space inside the tank
- Small tanks only
- Cartridges sold separately
Performance notes
Flow through the cartridge floss traps debris, and the carbon removes odor and tint until it saturates. Placement inside the tank means the filter is submerged, which quiets the pump. Clip height sets how it handles changing water levels.
