Overview
PlateMate's 1.25Donut is a two-piece set of small iron weight plates weighing 0.5 kilograms combined and finished in black, sized for fine-tuning a barbell or dumbbell load in small increments.
The donut naming points to a small, center holed plate meant for fine tuning a barbell or dumbbell load rather than serving as a primary plate. At roughly a quarter kilogram per piece, these are built for micro adjustments, not for stacking up serious weight on their own.
- Iron material
- 0.5 kilogram combined weight
- Two piece set
- Black finish
Who it's for
Fits lifters who want to fine tune their loading in small increments beyond standard 2.5 or 5 pound jumps. Not a fit for anyone shopping for primary training plates to build up a full weight set.
Pros and cons
- Iron construction for a compact, dense small plate
- Sold as a matched two piece set
- Useful for fine loading increments
- Very light total weight at 0.5 kilograms for the pair, not a primary plate set
Performance notes
Iron construction gives these plates the density to stay compact despite their light total weight, which matters for a donut style plate meant to sit close to the bar sleeve.
