Overview
Wilson's Evolution game basketball, the composite cover ball used as the standard in many high school programs. Built with a moisture wicking cover and laid in channels, approved for play by the National Federation of State High School Associations.
The Evolution's reputation comes from being the default ball in high school gyms nationwide rather than from marketing claims. Its moisture wicking composite cover is meant to hold grip through a sweaty game, the detail that matters most for indoor competitive play rather than casual outdoor shooting.
- Official size game basketball
- Moisture wicking composite cover
- NFHS approved for high school play
- Laid in channels for grip and control
Who it's for
Suited to high school programs, competitive indoor players and anyone who wants the same ball used in NFHS sanctioned play. Not built or marketed for outdoor use.
Pros and cons
- NFHS approved for high school play
- Moisture wicking composite cover
- Official game size basketball
- Built for indoor courts only
Performance notes
The composite cover is designed to wick moisture so grip holds up as hands sweat during a game, and the laid in channels are there for consistent handling rather than just a visual cue. NFHS approval signals the ball meets the size, weight and bounce specs used in official high school play.
