Overview
Champion Sports' rubber cover basketball, model RBB1, for indoor and outdoor courts, with a 2 ply butyl bladder for air retention and a composition rubber cover built for repeated pickup and youth play. Ships deflated, available in multiple sizes and colors.
- Rubber composite cover, indoor and outdoor
- 2 ply butyl bladder for bounce
- Multiple sizes and colors
Who it's for
Fits parents buying a first or backup basketball for kids, and casual players who want one ball for both driveway and gym use. Not the pick for a player chasing a premium composite leather feel.
Pros and cons
- Good grip and bounce for the price
- Holds up for kids' everyday play
- Works indoor and outdoor
- Ships deflated, no pump included
- One reviewer found a slow leak at the needle valve
Performance notes
The 2 ply butyl bladder holds air for consistent bounce, and the composition rubber cover is meant to survive contact with pavement, backboards and everyday use. It ships deflated, so a pump and needle are needed before first use.
