Overview
A boater, swimmer or paddler gets a nylon and foam vest in this Stearns Type III model, closed with a buckle and cinched with adjustable straps. The title lists a coast guard approved vest in standard and oversized fits.
Strap adjustment and a wide chest range cover most adults, and the lightweight foam suits long days on the water. Weight guidance in the listing is thin, so check the label for fit.
Who it's for
Adults paddling, fishing or tubing who want a comfortable, adjustable vest. Anyone outside the chest range or under the minimum weight needs a different size.
Pros and cons
- Wide chest range
- Weight guidance is thin
Performance notes
Foam panels supply the buoyancy and the straps pull it snug, so fit is what decides whether it stays in place in the water. A loose vest rides up, so cinch the straps after putting it on.
