Overview
On a boat or tube ride, the Airhead Trend slips on with a zipper and closes with a buckle. The outer is foam with a polyester lining, and the adjustable straps are meant for a flexible, lightweight fit.
The reason to buy is a light, flexible foam jacket for boating, tubing and swimming. Approval is named in the title. The limitation is the contradictory size information: youth in the age field, small-medium in size and a high weight rating.
Who it's for
A youth or small adult on a tow tube, boat or in a lake will use the flexible fit. Infants, large adults and anyone needing exact chest and weight ranges should check the label and sizing chart first.
Pros and cons
- USCG approval named in title
- Light foam construction
- Buckle and zipper closure
- Weight rating looks inconsistent
- Chest range not listed
- Youth and adult wording conflicts
- Warranty needs maker lookup
Performance notes
Foam provides buoyancy without needing air, so there is nothing to inflate or maintain. Proper fit matters more than anything: the straps should be snug so the jacket does not ride up in the water. Replace any jacket with torn fabric.
