Overview

Berkley's GMI2-WMPR is a Gulp! Minnow soft bait in Watermelon Pearl, about 2.5 inches (6cm) long, from a pack weighing roughly 1.6 ounces. It is a scented soft plastic marketed for general species use.

Gulp! baits use a scent-infused material blend rather than plain plastic, which is the main difference from standard soft plastics. The watermelon pearl pattern reads as a natural minnow color in clear to lightly stained water.

Who it's for

Fits anglers targeting panfish, bass or inshore species who want a small scented minnow imitation. Not a match for anyone wanting a larger profile swimbait.

Pros and cons

Pros

Scented Gulp! formula
Compact 2.5 inch profile
Natural watermelon pearl color

Cons

Small size limits it to finesse or panfish presentations
Weight is listed per pack, not per individual bait

Performance notes

The Gulp! scent blend is designed to hold up under bites and release scent into the water, which can extend how long a bait stays productive per cast versus plain plastic. At 2.5 inches it fits finesse and panfish presentations rather than large swimbait setups.
