Overview
Mares makes the Avanti Superchannel as a full foot fin with a closed orthopedic pocket and a pull-on closure. The blade is built from Tecralene and thermoplastic rubber.
Full foot design means no straps or buckles to adjust, and the compact blade suits travel and snorkeling. The listing does not give shoe sizes, so choose from the maker's chart.
Who it's for
Adults who dive warm water or snorkel in bare feet and want an easy pull-on fin. Anyone wearing thick booties should look at an open-heel adjustable fin.
Pros and cons
- Closed orthopedic foot pocket
- Pull-on, no straps
- Durable thermoplastic rubber
- Sizes not listed
- Bare feet or thin socks only
- Warranty terms not detailed
Performance notes
The blade flexes with each kick, while the closed foot pocket transfers leg power directly. A snug fit matters, since a loose pocket wastes effort and may rub.
