Overview
A center-front swim training snorkel sized for kids ages 10 to 13, letting young swimmers practice stroke technique and body position without turning the head to breathe. The purge valve clears water from the tube, and the head bracket adjusts to fit growing swimmers.
FINIS sells this same design in a junior and an adult size, and matching the size to the swimmer matters more than the brand name here, since an adult snorkel on a smaller head will not seat the same way. This junior version is aimed squarely at the 10 to 13 age range.
- Junior sizing for ages 10-13
- Center-front mount preserves stroke position
- Purge valve for water clearance
- Adjustable, universal-fit head bracket
Who it's for
Young swimmers and swim-team kids working on technique drills who are between about ages 10 and 13. Adult swimmers should look at FINIS's adult-sized version of the same snorkel instead.
Pros and cons
- Sized specifically for ages 10 to 13
- Purge valve clears water without removing the snorkel
- Adjustable head bracket fits a growing swimmer
- Medical-grade silicone mouthpiece
- Not sized for adult swimmers
- No fin or mask included
Performance notes
The snorkel mounts at the front center of the head rather than to the side, which keeps the swimmer's body position unchanged from normal stroke technique while removing the need to turn and breathe. The purge valve lets water that enters the tube drain back out without reaching the mouthpiece, and the medical-grade silicone mouthpiece is meant to stay comfortable through a full training set.
