Overview
TYR's lightest swim training snorkel, built 25% smaller and 15% lighter than the brand's previous Ultralite 2.0 to develop body alignment without the fit getting in the way. It uses a sliding headpiece and hypoallergenic silicone padding for adjustment and comfort.
TYR frames this specifically as a lighter, smaller redo of its own earlier Ultralite 2.0 model, not a new concept, so the pitch is refinement rather than a different type of snorkel.
- 25% smaller, 15% lighter than TYR Ultralite 2.0
- Sliding headpiece with simple-release strap buttons
- Durafit hypoallergenic silicone mouthpiece padding
- Engineered tube shape for hydrodynamic stability
Who it's for
Competitive and serious lap swimmers focused on body alignment work who want the lightest snorkel TYR makes. Casual swimmers who just want something durable with no fuss might weigh the mouthpiece durability complaints first.
Pros and cons
- Notably lighter and smaller than TYR's previous Ultralite 2.0
- Stays in place without readjusting between swims
- Purge valve keeps water out for many users

- Replacement mouthpieces have been out of stock
- New swimmers may need time to adjust to mouth-only breathing
