Overview
A swivel arm and coil at the top of a two piece pole lets a tennis ball swing on a rope without wrapping up. Two players hit it with paddles in opposite directions, and a clip on hook holds the rope end.
Families get a tetherball alternative that suits smaller kids who find a full ball hard to hit. The ball is a tennis ball, so play is lighter and bouncier, but the listing gives no pole height or ground anchor details.
Who it's for
Lawn parties and after-school play are served by a set that goes together without tools beyond the listed parts. Competitive tetherball players and anyone needing a tall pole should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Paddles included with the set
- Swivel arm limits rope tangling
- Two piece pole stores smaller
- Tennis ball is light to hit
- Pole height not listed
- Only a short Amazon guarantee
- Not a standard tetherball
- Ground anchoring method not described
Performance notes
Wrap-around travel is handled by the top hardware, which lets the ball unwind instead of knotting the rope. A tennis ball hit with a paddle moves faster than a rubber tetherball hit by hand, so rally pace comes down to the players.
