Overview
Non-clumping clay cat litter from Fresh Step with Febreze freshness built in, sold as a 7 pound granule bag rated for 7 days of odor control.
This is a clay based, non-clumping formula, so waste removal relies on periodic full changes rather than daily scooping of clumps, a different maintenance routine than clumping litters. The Febreze scent component is what separates it from a plain clay litter, aimed at extending time between full box changes.
- 7 pound bag
- Non-clumping clay granules
- Febreze freshness
- 7 day odor control
Who it's for
Suited to owners who prefer non-clumping clay litter and want built-in odor control between changes, particularly single cat households where a 7 pound bag covers more time. Owners who scoop daily and prefer clumping litter for easier spot cleaning should look at a clumping formula instead.
Pros and cons
- Febreze scent for added odor control
- 7 day odor control claim
- 7 pound bag, straightforward clay formula
- Non-clumping, no daily clump scooping
- Clay based, heavier than wood or crystal litters
Performance notes
As a granule clay litter, it absorbs moisture and odor across the full box rather than forming solid clumps around waste, so maintenance centers on a full litter change on the stated 7 day odor control cycle rather than daily scoop outs.
