Overview
Samsung gave this player a slot loading drive, built in Wi-Fi and conversion of flat Blu-ray titles to stereoscopic. Anynet+ lets one Samsung remote control the TV and player together.
Stereoscopic TV owners get disc playback, simulated depth from flat titles and wireless networking without an adapter. As an older model, its web apps and browser may not reflect current services.
Who it's for
Households with Samsung stereoscopic TVs and Blu-ray libraries will use the single remote and stereoscopic modes. Ultra HD TV owners should consider a newer player.
Pros and cons
- 2D to 3D conversion
- Anynet+ single remote
- Dolby Digital and DTS
- Full HD output only
- Smart apps from 2011
- Dimensions not listed
Performance notes
Picture is limited to Full HD from Blu-ray discs, with stereoscopic output on compatible TVs. Conversion adds simulated depth to flat titles rather than true stereoscopic video. Wireless performance depends on the home network signal.
