Overview
The Nightforce NXS 8-32x56mm is a second focal plane riflescope built for long range precision shooting, with ZeroStop elevation return and a 30mm tube. It suits shooters who already commit to premium glass and want repeatable return-to-zero performance.
- 8-32x magnification, second focal plane
- MOAR 20 MOA reticle with floating center crosshair
- ZeroStop elevation, .250 MOA clicks
- 30mm tube, 50 yd to infinity parallax adjustment
Who it's for
Suited to shooters who want a dedicated long range precision scope and are willing to pair it with a scope base that has extra elevation margin. Not for anyone shopping on price, since owners describe it as costly even among premium scopes.

- ZeroStop turret returns to set zero reliably

Frequently asked questions
Does the Nightforce NXS 8-32x56 come with a 20 MOA base rail?
No, it ships with rubber lens covers, a cleaning cloth, multi-tool, and sunshade, not a mount. One owner needed a separately purchased 20 MOA base to get full elevation travel after setting zero.
What reticle does the Nightforce NXS F2 use?
It ships with the MOAR 20 MOA reticle, a second focal plane design with a floating center crosshair for fast target acquisition and MOA-based range marks.
How does the NXS compare to other premium scopes like Steiner or Leupold?
Owners who switched from Steiner or similar high end glass describe the Nightforce as clearer and more precise for tightening group sizes, though it costs more.
