Overview
Fishbites 88 is a gel-based bait strip sold two to a pack, sized 1/2 inch by 12 inches in a pink color, aimed at bass and panfish.
Fishbites built its name on scent-infused strip bait rather than traditional plastic soft lures, and the gel material listed here fits that style more than a molded worm or grub. At 12 inches long, each strip is likely meant to be cut down to size for the hook and fish being targeted rather than fished at full length. The category listing calls this a soft lure, but the gel material and strip dimensions point to a cut-to-size scent bait rather than a preformed plastic shape.
- Gel-based bait strip material
- 1/2 inch by 12 inch strips
- Pink color, 2 per pack
- Aimed at bass and panfish
Who it's for
Anglers who fish scent-based strip baits for bass and panfish and want a pink color option. Anyone expecting a preformed plastic worm or grub shape should note this is a gel strip meant to be cut to size instead.
Pros and cons
- Scent-infused gel material rather than plain plastic
- Long 12 inch strips allow cutting to custom sizes
- Aimed at both bass and panfish
- Comes as only 2 strips per pack
- Full-length strip may need trimming before use
Performance notes
Each pack holds two gel strips measuring 1/2 inch by 12 inches, light enough at about 30 grams combined that anglers typically trim them to length rather than fish the full strip.
