Overview
Not a fixed-focus budget camera, the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema uses a glass element lens with autofocus and TrueColor face tracking to keep you bright and sharp on calls. A noise-cancelling mic handles voice.
Autofocus and the glass lens give sharper results than fixed-focus webcams, and TrueColor adjusts for poor lighting. It comes with a carrying case and a long warranty. Resolution stays at HD, below current Full HD cameras.
Who it's for
Home workers and families on Windows PCs who want clearer calls than a built-in camera gets a good match. Content creators should look for higher resolution.
Pros and cons
- Autofocus glass lens
- Face tracking color correction
- Carrying case included
- Long hardware warranty
- HD only, not Full HD
- Mac support only in the title
- Viewing angle figure unclear
Performance notes
Sharpness comes from the glass lens and autofocus, which adjust as you move toward or away from the camera. TrueColor brightens faces in uneven light by tracking them. ClearFrame processing smooths motion in the stream.
