Overview
Home offices, streaming desks and meeting rooms are where the OBSBOT Tiny does its work, set on a monitor or laptop with the included metal adjustable mount. It connects over USB-C, focuses on its own and records through the host computer rather than to internal storage.
A bright lens, autofocus and a high resolution sensor make it suited to video calls and streams in ordinary room light. Its zoom is digital only, and the spec sheet says nothing about tracking or voice control, so those claims rest on the title alone.
Who it's for
Desk based calls, streams and recorded lessons on a PC, Mac or Steam Deck are the use cases. Someone filming outdoors or needing a standalone camera should not buy it, since it is not water resistant and stores nothing itself.
Pros and cons
- Bright f/1.8 lens
- Autofocus built in
- Records 4K video
- Works with PC, Mac and Steam Deck
- Zoom is digital only
- No internal storage, needs a host computer
- Not water resistant
- Tracking and voice features not listed in specs
Performance notes
Image quality depends on room light reaching the sensor through the wide aperture, so a lit face reads cleaner than a backlit one. Zoom crops the sensor digitally, which softens detail as you push in. The host computer handles recording over the USB-C link, so its encoding and storage set what you can capture.
