Overview
A 3 count box of Rawlings Official League Recreational Use practice baseballs for players 8 and under, sized as a small add-on rather than a full team set.
Rawlings positions this as a starter pack meant to pair with a new bat or glove purchase rather than stock a whole team, which explains the small count next to the 12 pack and 24 count bucket versions. It carries the same cork and rubber center, synthetic leather cover construction as the larger OLB3 packs.
- 3 baseballs per box
- Cork and rubber center construction
- Official size and weight
- Designed as a starter add-on pack
Who it's for
Works for a parent buying a first glove or bat for a young player and wanting a handful of balls to go with it, or replacing a couple of lost or worn balls from a larger set. Not economical for a coach needing to supply a full team.
Pros and cons
- Matches full-size official league weight and dimensions
- Synthetic leather cover with raised seams for grip
- Convenient small add-on to a bat or glove purchase
- Only 3 balls, not economical for team-scale needs
- Recreational grade, not certified for official game play
Performance notes
These use the same solid cork and rubber center and synthetic leather cover as Rawlings' larger OLB3 packs, so the feel and grip match, just in a smaller quantity meant to round out a starter kit rather than outfit a season of practice.
