Overview
A Takamine preamp with a built in tuner and three band EQ lives inside this mahogany dreadnought, sending its acoustic sound to an amp or PA. A soft cutaway opens access to the upper frets.
Warm mahogany tone plus useful electronics make it a ready made open mic guitar. This listing quotes a thirty day warranty, so check seller terms closely.
Who it's for
Suited to singer songwriters moving from bedroom to stage. Players who never plug in can save weight and complexity with a plain acoustic.
Pros and cons
- Built in tuner and EQ
- Cutaway for lead work
- Warm mahogany body
- Pin-less rosewood bridge
- Short warranty on this listing
- Case not mentioned
- Large dreadnought body
Performance notes
Plugged in tone depends on the under saddle piezo and the preamp's EQ, which shapes boom and brightness. The mahogany body leans warm. A slim neck and cutaway make lead lines up the neck easier.
