Overview
Fan bracing under a spruce top gives the Takamine classical its warm nylon string voice, while a dovetail neck joint links a slim mahogany neck to the body. A preamp with tuner and EQ handles amplified gigs.
Stage ready classical tone is the reason to buy, with a cutaway for upper fret access and built in electronics. The bullets say rosewood back and sides while the specs say black walnut.
Who it's for
Nylon string players in restaurants, churches and small venues will use the preamp. Players who prefer the snap of steel strings need a different guitar.
Pros and cons

Performance notes
Warmth comes from nylon strings driving a fan braced spruce top, which spreads vibration evenly across the soundboard. Plugged in, the preamp and three band EQ shape the amplified tone and the tuner holds you in pitch on stage.
