Overview
A garage rehearsal space or a first gigging setup gets a full Pearl Export kit here, with poplar and mahogany shells and a matching hardware package. Tom mounts use Opti-Loc hardware, and the kit ships with a Demonator bass drum pedal.
Shells, hardware and a pedal arrive together, so a drummer needs fewer separate purchases to start playing. Cymbals and a throne are absent from the component list, and the snare size is not given.
Who it's for
Students moving up from a practice pad and bands that need a house kit get shells, hardware and a pedal in one order. Drummers who already own their stands would end up with duplicate hardware.
Pros and cons
- Hardware and pedal included
- Poplar and mahogany shell blend
- Opti-Loc tom mounts
- Lifetime warranty from Pearl
- No cymbals in the component list
- Snare size not listed
- Throne absent from included parts
- Heavy to move between gigs
Performance notes
Shell wood and head tuning set most of the tone, with the poplar and mahogany blend shaping attack and warmth. Pedal feel comes from the Demonator, and stand stability from the included hardware package.
