Overview
Ludwig built the Accent Drive as a complete five piece kit for new drummers, pairing poplar veneer shells with wrapped red sparkle finish, cymbals and double braced hardware. Everything from throne to kick pedal is included.
One purchase gets a new drummer playing on a full size kit with real hardware. Cymbal material is not stated, so experienced players may want to upgrade later.
Who it's for
Teenagers and adults starting lessons will have everything needed to play. Gigging drummers will want higher grade cymbals and shells.
Pros and cons
- Full size drum sizes
- Double braced stands
- Throne and pedal included
- Classic Ludwig look
- Cymbal material not stated
- Sticks not mentioned in bullets
- Heavy to move
Performance notes
Sound comes from the multi ply shells and the bearing edge, which shapes how heads meet the shell and how long notes ring. Tuning and head choice matter as much as the shells. Double braced stands hold cymbals steady when struck hard.
