Overview
Oklahoma Joe's 13201747-05 is a charcoal smoker built in alloy steel with a black finish, sized at roughly 36.5 x 64.3 x 55.5 inches and weighing about 252 pounds. The scale and construction point to a full offset-style backyard smoker rather than a compact unit.
At over 250 pounds and more than five feet long, this is a heavy steel smoker meant to stay in one spot in the yard rather than travel to a tailgate. Charcoal-only operation means temperature control comes from vents and fuel management, not a dial.
- Charcoal fuel
- Alloy steel construction
- Black finish
- 36.5 x 64.3 x 55.5 in footprint
Who it's for
Suits someone who already smokes low and slow on charcoal and wants a large-capacity offset unit for whole briskets, ribs, or multiple racks at once. Not a fit for apartment patios or anyone wanting a plug-and-play electric or pellet setup.
Pros and cons
- Heavy steel build for durability
- Large capacity for high volume cooks
- Charcoal only, no auto temperature control
- At over 250 lb, not a portable unit
Performance notes
With alloy steel construction and a footprint over five feet long, heat retention benefits from the mass, though charcoal smokers of this size typically need active vent adjustment to hold steady temperatures. No BTU or cooking area figures are listed, so exact cooking capacity is not confirmed here.
