Overview
A pellet smoker from Traeger, model TFC97XLH, built from alloy steel in black. At 27 x 67 x 47 inches and 220.5 pounds, it's among the larger units in Traeger's lineup, closer to a full outdoor cooking station than a backyard starter model.
Traeger popularized pellet smoking, and this model's weight and footprint point to one of the brand's bigger-capacity units. No hopper size, cooking area or temperature range is listed, so check Traeger's own spec page for this model number to confirm capacity before buying.

- 220.5 lb weight
Who it's for
Suits someone who smokes regularly and wants a large-capacity Traeger rather than an entry-level model, and who has the patio or deck space for a unit over 5 feet wide. Not for anyone wanting a compact or portable pellet smoker.
Pros and cons
- Large footprint suits high-volume or frequent smoking
- Alloy steel construction from an established smoker brand
- No hopper size or temperature range listed
- 220.5 lb weight makes it effectively stationary
Performance notes
Pellet smokers like this hold temperature by auto-feeding wood pellets into a controlled burn pot, and larger units like the TFC97XLH generally carry bigger hoppers for longer unattended cook times. The alloy steel build and 220.5 pound weight suggest a sturdy, stationary station rather than something moved often.
