Overview
The recteq RT-B380 is a pellet-fueled smoker built in stainless steel, sized at 22.5 x 40 x 36 inches and weighing 70 pounds. recteq is known for pellet grill hardware, and this model carries that fuel type into a smoker-specific build.
The stainless steel body and pellet feed system are the two facts the spec sheet confirms.
- Pellet fuel system
- Stainless steel construction
- 22.5 x 40 x 36 in
- 70 lb
Who it's for
Fits someone who wants pellet-fed smoking without tending charcoal or wood chunks by hand. Less suited to someone who prefers direct wood or charcoal flavor, since pellet systems burn differently.
Pros and cons
- Pellet-fed, no manual fire tending
- Stainless steel body
- 4.0 average rating trails higher-rated pellet smokers
- Hopper capacity and insulation details not listed
Performance notes
Pellet fuel systems auger wood pellets into a firebox at a controlled rate, which is what lets a smoker like this hold a set temperature without manual fire tending. Stainless steel construction at 70 pounds points to a build meant to stay outdoors through weather, though the spec sheet does not detail insulation or hopper capacity.
