Overview
An inflatable kayak from Sevylor whose backpack doubles as the seat once you reach the water. Built from 21-gauge PVC with a separate tarpaulin bottom and multiple air chambers for backup buoyancy.
The QuickPak's main idea is the pack-to-seat conversion, so there is no separate dry bag to carry once you are on the water. Double Lock valves handle both inflation and deflation, and Sevylor splits the hull into multiple chambers so a single puncture does not sink the boat.
- 21-gauge PVC construction
- Multiple independent air chambers
- Backpack-to-seat system
- 90-day limited warranty
Who it's for
Paddlers who want a kayak they can carry to the put-in on their back and store in a closet rather than a garage. Not for anyone wanting a rigid, fast-tracking boat.
Pros and cons
- Backpack converts directly into the seat
- Separate air chambers limit damage from one puncture
- Backrest and adjustable foot rest
- Includes bungee storage area
- Inflatable hull will not track like a rigid kayak
- PVC construction needs care around sharp launch surfaces
Performance notes
The tarpaulin bottom is the wear layer that takes contact with rocks and launch ramps, kept separate from the 21-gauge PVC sides, and the multi-chamber design means one leak leaves the others inflated rather than dropping the whole boat. The backrest and multi-position foot rest let a paddler adjust posture, which inflatables often skip.
