A straightforward, well-reviewed crib at a low price point, with the caveat that the toddler and full-bed hardware cost extra later.

Overview
The DaVinci Union is a 4-in-1 convertible crib in white, built from sustainably sourced New Zealand pine and GREENGUARD Gold certified for low chemical emissions. It starts as a baby crib and later becomes a toddler bed, daybed, or full-size bed as a child grows.
Four adjustable mattress heights let parents raise or lower the bed as a baby starts sitting and standing. The toddler kit (M3899), full-size kit (M4799), and full-size bunkie board (M26058B) are all sold separately, so budget for those when the time comes. Hidden hardware keeps the exterior free of visible screws, and the crib is JPMA certified.
- New Zealand pine construction with hidden hardware
- GREENGUARD Gold certified, tested for 10,000+ emissions
- Four adjustable mattress heights
- Converts to toddler bed, daybed, and full-size bed with separate kits
Who it's for
Parents furnishing a first nursery on a budget, especially those planning to reuse the crib across more than one child. Less suited to anyone who wants every conversion stage boxed in from the start, since the extra kits are separate purchases.
Pros and cons
- Held up across multiple children for some buyers
- Storage space underneath for diapers and clothing bins
- Priced well below many GREENGUARD Gold certified cribs
- Paint can chip where a teething toddler bites the rails
- Hardware may need periodic re-tightening
- One buyer found a side panel slightly misaligned
- Toddler and full-bed kits are separate purchases
Performance notes
The four-position mattress height adjustment is the main way this crib keeps pace with a growing baby, dropping lower once a child can pull up to stand.
