Overview
This is a wood convertible crib from Delta Children's Essex collection, finished in chestnut and built to convert from a standard crib into a toddler bed, daybed, and sofa as a child grows through each stage.
The 4-in-1 conversion is the main selling point, but two pieces that make later stages work, the toddler guardrail and the crib mattress, are sold separately rather than bundled in the box. Buyers furnishing a full Essex nursery can pair this with matching pieces in the same collection.
- 4-in-1 conversion: crib, toddler bed, daybed, sofa
- Greenguard Gold and JPMA certified
- 3-position adjustable mattress height
- Assembled size 54 in W x 29.5 in D x 34 in H
Who it's for
Parents who want one crib frame to carry a baby from birth through toddlerhood and into a small daybed or sofa, without buying separate furniture at each stage. Less suited to anyone who wants everything included in one box.
Pros and cons
- Converts through crib, toddler bed, daybed, and sofa stages
- Greenguard Gold certified for low chemical emissions
- Three-position adjustable mattress support
- JPMA certified to CPSC and ASTM safety standards
- Toddler guardrail sold separately
- Crib mattress not included
- Assembly required for a piece this size
Performance notes
The mattress support has three height positions so it can be lowered as the baby starts to sit and stand. Conversion to daybed or sofa uses the included daybed/sofa rail, while the separate toddler guardrail is what turns it into an enclosed toddler bed. The frame is built from New Zealand pine and poplar with a non-toxic multi-step paint process.
