Overview
A Gotoh sitar bridge and a single-coil lipstick pickup give this electric six-string its droning Eastern flavor, while the tuning stays the same as on a standard guitar. The body is engineered wood under a spruce top.
The reason to consider it is the familiar guitar tuning and fret layout paired with a sitar bridge, so existing playing skills carry over. The limit is documentation: the dimensions look like placeholders and the scale length is not given.
Who it's for
A guitarist or recording musician who wants a droning accent for one song or a whole project. Players who want a traditional sitar should look at a true sitar.
Pros and cons
- Tuned like a standard guitar
- Gotoh sitar bridge
- Single-coil lipstick pickup
- Standard jack output
- Dimensions listed as placeholders
- Scale length not listed
- Electric only, no acoustic voice
Performance notes
The sitar bridge supplies the droning Eastern flavor the listing describes, and the lipstick pickup carries it to the amp or recorder. Standard guitar tuning means chord shapes and scale patterns carry over without relearning.
