Overview
Filling a modest room with sound from a bar under a foot and a half wide, the Bose CineMate uses TrueSpace processing and a wireless Acoustimass module for low notes. A console handles four HDMI sources under one remote.
Small size is the selling point, fitting under a bedroom TV or on a narrow stand while still adding bass. Larger rooms may outgrow it, and streaming requires an extra adapter.
Who it's for
Apartment living rooms, bedrooms and dens get noticeably fuller sound from a compact bar. Large spaces need a bigger system.
Pros and cons
- Very compact bar
- Wireless bass module
- Four HDMI inputs on console
- Universal remote included
- Wi-Fi adapter sold separately
- Sized for smaller rooms
Performance notes
Spaciousness comes from TrueSpace processing widening the sound field from a short bar, and the wireless module adds bass the bar cannot. The console switches sources, so the TV only needs one connection.
