Overview
A dog life jacket built for swimming and boating, sized XX-Small in red, fitting dogs with a roughly 6 to 10 inch chest and a minimum weight around 5 lbs.
Despite the listing's category placement, this is a flotation vest, not a car seat, built with a padded top handle for lifting a dog out of water and an adjustable hook and loop closure for fit. The polyester mesh construction is described as water resistant rather than fully waterproof.
- XX-Small life jacket, 6-10 inch chest
- Padded lifting handle
- Adjustable hook and loop closure
- Minimum weight around 5 lbs
Who it's for
Fits owners of very small dogs or puppies who need water safety gear for boating, kayaking, or swimming. Not sized for medium or large dogs, since the XX-Small size tops out at about a 10 inch chest and a 5 lb minimum weight.
Pros and cons
- Padded handle for lifting dog out of water
- Adjustable hook and loop fit
- Sized specifically for very small dogs and puppies
- Hand wash only care instructions
- Fabric is water resistant, not fully waterproof
Performance notes
The padded top handle is the main functional feature, giving an owner a grip point to lift a dog straight out of the water, while the adjustable hook and loop closure lets fit be tightened as needed. Being water resistant rather than waterproof, the mesh fabric is built to dry quickly rather than block water entirely.
