Overview
Sliding the connector out to plug in and back in to protect it, the SanDisk Cruzer Glide carries files between computers with no cap to lose. It connects over standard USB-A and works with PC and Mac.
A retractable plug and a useful capacity make it an everyday file carrier for school or work. The USB-A plug needs an adapter on newer USB-C only machines.
Who it's for
Students, teachers and office staff who shuttle files between machines get a tidy, capless drive. People on USB-C only laptops or phones need a drive with a matching plug.
Pros and cons
- No cap to lose
- Works with PC and Mac
- Light and small
- Long limited warranty
- USB-A plug only
- Write speed not listed
- Slider can wear over time
Performance notes
Transfer speed depends on the port: a current USB port reaches the listed read speed, while older ports run slower. Many small files copy slower than one large file. The slider protects the plug when retracted.
