Overview
A 3-pack refrigerator water filter built to replace GE's MSWF cartridge, including 101820A, 101821B and RWF1500A model numbers. Uses a coconut shell carbon block rated for about 6 months or 300 gallons, with NSF 42 and 372 certifications.
This is an aftermarket alternative, not an OEM part, priced well under the GE original. Buyers consistently report it swaps in without leaks or fit issues, which is the main risk with any generic filter.
- Coconut shell carbon block filtration
- Fits GE MSWF, 101820A, 101821B, RWF1500A and related numbers
- NSF 42 and 372 certified housing
- 6-month or 300-gallon rated life with install stickers
Who it's for
Made for GE refrigerator owners whose model calls for an MSWF-series filter and who want a lower-cost multi-pack instead of buying OEM one at a time. Not for fridges that take a different filter number.
Pros and cons
- Rated life tops out at 6 months or 300 gallons regardless of household usage
- Fit depends on matching the exact model number for your fridge
Performance notes
Water passes through a coconut shell carbon block that the maker says targets chlorine taste and odor, sediment and a range of trace substances. Each filter is rated for roughly 6 months or 300 gallons, with install-date stickers included to track replacement timing.
