Overview

A pack of two 8 lb cartons (16 lb total) of Fresh Step crystal cat litter, built around ammonia block technology and Febreze freshness rather than traditional clumping clay.

Crystal litter behaves differently from clay: it is lighter and marketed as lower dust, but it does not clump the way clay litter does, which changes the daily scooping routine for owners switching formats. The ammonia block claim targets odor at the chemical source rather than just masking it with scent.

Two 8 lb cartons, 16 lb total
Ammonia block odor technology
Febreze freshness scent
Low dust crystal formula

Who it's for

Suits owners who want a lighter, lower-dust litter and are comfortable with a crystal format instead of clumping clay. Owners who rely on daily clumping for spot cleaning may find crystal litter a different routine to adjust to.

Pros and cons

Pros

Lighter weight than clay litter of similar volume
Ammonia block technology targets odor source
Lower dust than traditional clay litter

Cons

Crystal format does not clump like clay, changing the scooping routine

Performance notes

The crystals use ammonia block technology to target odor at its source, combined with Febreze scenting for added freshness. Being a granule rather than clay, the material is lighter by weight and marketed as producing less airborne dust during use.
