Overview
This king and California king comforter is filled with 58 ounces of goose down fiber and waterfowl feather fiber inside a 100% cotton baffle box shell. It is rated for medium, year round warmth and can be used as a duvet insert or on its own.
The fill is Responsible Down Standard, OEKO-Tex Standard 100 and Downpass certified, which speaks to sourcing and chemical safety rather than performance. Double needle stitching and rope piping are meant to keep the baffle box seams from leaking fill, and eight corner loops anchor a duvet cover in place.
- 58 oz fill weight, 80% down / 20% feather fiber
- Baffle box construction
- RDS, OEKO Tex and Downpass certified
- 8 corner loops and tabs for a duvet cover
Who it's for
Fits anyone with a king or California king bed who wants a certified down fill comforter for use with or without a duvet cover. Not for shoppers who need a smaller size, since this listing is offered only in king/California king.
Pros and cons
- 58 oz fill rated for year round, medium warmth
- Baffle box keeps down evenly distributed
- RDS, OEKO Tex and Downpass certified fill
- Corner loops anchor a duvet cover
- Only offered in one size, king/California king
- Only available in solid white
- Down fill needs gentler care than synthetic comforters
Performance notes
The baffle box construction uses internal fabric walls between the top and bottom layers so the down stays spread evenly instead of shifting into corners over time. The 80/20 down to feather fiber blend is what gives it loft without becoming overly heavy for year round use.
