Overview
A king-size down-alternative comforter from Amazon Basics with corner tabs for use as a duvet insert, a 100 percent polyester shell, and a light white finish.
Corner tabs are the detail that matters here: they let the comforter double as a duvet insert, anchoring inside a duvet cover instead of shifting around loose. At 102 by 90 inches it is sized for a king mattress, and like most vacuum-packed bedding it ships compressed, so the fill needs time to loft back up after unboxing.
- King down-alternative comforter and duvet insert
- Corner tabs for use inside a duvet cover
- 102 x 90 inches, 100% polyester shell
- Machine washable
Who it's for
Fits anyone furnishing a king bed who wants either a standalone comforter or an insert to use inside a duvet cover. Not the pick for someone wanting natural down fill, since this is a synthetic down-alternative product.
Pros and cons
- Corner tabs anchor it inside a duvet cover
- Machine washable and dryable
- Sized for king beds at 102 x 90 inches
- One-year limited warranty
- Synthetic down alternative, not natural down
- Ships vacuum-packed and needs time to decompress
Performance notes
The down-alternative polyester fill is meant to give the light, all-season warmth of down without the cost or care that real down requires, and the corner tabs keep it from bunching to one side inside a duvet cover the way an untabbed insert can.
