Overview
Fender sizes this guitar as a concert body that is easy to hold in any position, with a spruce top over mahogany back and sides. Scalloped X-bracing and an easy to play neck with rolled edges suit fingerpicking and new players.
Comfort for beginners is the case, with a smaller body and smooth neck edges that reduce hand strain. The voice is articulate for fingerstyle. Whether it has a pickup is unclear from the listing.
Who it's for
New players and fingerstyle guitarists who want a body that is easy to hold. Players planning to gig plugged in should confirm electronics first.
Pros and cons
- Comfortable concert size
- Scalloped bracing for richer tone
- Rolled fingerboard edges
- Articulate fingerstyle voice
- Smaller body, less bass
- Top wood listed inconsistently
Performance notes
Scalloped braces let the top flex more, which adds warmth and volume to a smaller body. Concert size favors clear mids for fingerpicking over booming strums. Rolled edges make the neck feel worn in from the start.
